| Minister Liara Lightle from england entered the hotel, her hair was done up and she was wear fancy looking dress robes, they were alright. She had a number of Aurors with her as well though the were dressed for the occasion. She hoped to make some allies at the confrence granted the was bound to make enemies, some of her competion would be attending no doubt, it'd be stupid of him if he didn't. She smiled and answered simple questions by the reported from the differenet counties. She had a translator spell on her so there would be no mix up's in what she was saying.. which is the last thing she needed.
However one reporter, had the nerve to question about Gage.. there was one in every group she menally sighed..
"Yes my Ex fiance is attending, as a staff member of one of the main school he was invited" she said plainly and continued walking to the main Ballroom. Anwering questions of relivence, but there were no further comments partaining to Gage. Merlin she hated to press..
But the night had only just begun...

| Vinzent walked into the foyer of the hotel hosting the International Magical Cooperation conference, glancing about at the decor. He tried not to look too disgusted at the fact this was a Muggle establishment, yet also attempted to not be too impressed by the stately appearance of the place. Avoiding either extreme was easier said than done...
Because he was without a wife, the Wizengamot official had only one woman on his arm: his daughter, Charisma. She was of age to attend, however her siblings were not and thus left at home to be tended by the House-elves. In his other hand, Vinzent held a cane. By his walk the device was entirely a decorative accessory. What some might (rightly) suspect, however, is that his wand was cleverly concealed within the ornate stick.
Vinzent himself was dressed in traditional attire with a red and black color scheme: black trousers, black shoes, red dress shirt, and a mottled mix of both colors for his tailcoated dress robes. In stark contrast to the Muggle idea of a tailcoat, Vinzent's literally had four real dragon tails hanging from the back that were perfectly preserved by magic. The tails on said garment even moved independently and of their own volition. His shoulder-length ebony mop of hair had been subdued into a slightly more domestic style, though still retained an almost stylish, semi-flyaway disorganization.
Charisma, by stark contrast, had taken the modern approach. The black dress she had selected was simple yet elegant. Her shoes, also black, had a small portion of heel that accentuated her height yet would not impede any dancing opportunities. The young woman also sported opera-length black gloves... or rather what had been gloves before she chopped off the glove part. Now they were more like sleeves. She also clutched a handbag that appeared gold in color and decorated with sequins, which had belonged to her mother at one point. A variety of jewelry adorned her features: earrings, necklace, and on her right hand was an elegant bracelet with beads and precious stones threaded in a triangular, net-like pattern cascading down the top of her hand. The beaded pattern was connected at the tip by a ring on her middle finger. Charisma's left hand was completely unadorned. She had wanted to bring Lilyth, one of her pet snakes, with her disguised as a shawl. Vinzent, however, forbade it because he didn't want her to "scare all of the prospective suitors away".
A raven eyebrow from Vinzent quirked at the sight of a young man possibly around Charisma's age. "Why don't you go ahead and mingle... preferably starting with that gentleman over there while I have a word with the Minister?" he suggested, placing a pair of fingers beneath his daughter's chin in attempt to guide her line of sight.
Charisma eyed the man in question, then glanced sideways at her father. "Must I?" she sighed. It wasn't that the wizard in question was unattractive that put the witch off. Rather, it was the fact that she was here to support international magical cooperation and have fun, not pick out a new boyfriend.
"Ja... you must. Now go on," Vinzent replied, parting company with her. After giving Charisma a half-playful, half-serious nudge with his cane, the wizard casually made his way over to the Minister and associated cluster of press to see what all was going on.
A twinge of a smile started to appear on Vinzent's face as he overheard a comment regarding the Minister's ex-fiance. He had been part of the group that felt marriage to a Muggle-born showed a political stance. The smile was replaced briefly with an expression of disgust. The ex-auror, as well as other mudbloods were going to be here too? Just great...
"Good evening, Minister," Vinzent spoke over the crowd of press, a neutral expression covering his previous distaste, and took a moment to survey the witch in question. "Prepared for the next election come the end of term, I presume?" Vinzent asked with light, congenial-sounding curiosity. His sharply attentive and calculating sapphire orbs, however, told a possibly different story.

| Adrian and his nephew walked into the Hotel. Adrian wore formal robes over his ussuall atiare. Nothen fancy but still dressed for the occaction. He made sure to wear something he didn't mind getting a bit wine splashed on knowing his nephews tendency for such things. "Edward-" The boy was already scoping out the locale, imprevious to anything that Adrian would say. The man sieghed. 'He's his father's son alright." With this he found a chair to observe what was to come next. | |

| Edward ignored his Uncle, tonight was his show. Minister Lightle is here but I don't see Prideux, well it won't be much a party without all three Minsiters. "Guess I can have some fun before the real show begins." The young man said with a smirk on his face. Keeping the smirk on his face he stumbled in a "drunken daze" over to the beverages, "Lets see, ah, here it is red wine." he thought to himself. He poured himself a glass and took a sip. Then drank the whole glass back and poureed another. "That should put a bit flavor in my breath. Now then, time for the opening act."
"Hic, Liara, you are looking fine tonight" He stumbled over to the Minister, sluring his words as he went. He was having entirely too much fun. "My Uncle took me out drinking last night, thre were some pretty girls there but none quite as pretty as you." Edward put quite a convincing drunk act, he himself felt like he was going to fall over any second. He took a sip of his wine. "I heard it ended bad for him though. Black eye and broken hand. He said that I run into, how did he put it? Oh right, nasty looking ruffian and told him "sorry miss didn't see you there."Hahaha. I drank too much to remember" He finished off his wine. "Where's all my wine? Ah well, I'll just get some more." With that he wondered back to the beverage table, tripping on his own feet half way there.

| Liara mentally sighed when she saw Vinzent Zolnerowich approch her, "First the vultures.. now the wolf" she thought to herself eyeing him with no small amount of caution. He was a pureblood manic, infact she was shocked he came to the building at all, it was muggle after all. Surrounded to the brim with enchantments but still muggle owned and usually operated. He was also in the running for her opposition when her term was up and time for relection which was about a year from then. In the world of politics a year could be a long time or no time at all.
"Good Evening Mister Zolnerowich" she said with the professionalisim she had perfected over the years. She thought the man was vile with the way he treated Gage or any other Muggle born, plus there was something creepy about him, but you wouldn't know it with her tone of voice.
She almost rolled her eyes when he asked about the end of term election, who did he think she was an amature? "Yes Mister Zolnerowich, I am quite ready for the next election. I am sure I don't need to ask you the same?" she said coldly. Really what a silly question to ask..
The she was approched by Edward Royale, who looked quite out of it already and the conference had not even offically started yet. As he started sluring to her in Russian she quirked an eye brow, not sure weather her translation was off and her russian was getting rusty.. but it sounded as if he was quite sloppily hitting on her.
As he started to walk off she shook her head slightly, "Do sit down Mister Royale, before you fall on something" she said almost exsapperatedly in English.

| Adrian walked over to his nephew. "Up you go." He hoisted his 'drunk' newphew over his sholder started to quide over to the seating arragnements. "Nice acting, monster. He whipered. "I apologize for my nephew's behavior, Miss Lightle, the death of my sister and brother-in-law hit him pretty hard and he never really recovered.
He supported the stumbing Edward over to the seats and placed him a chair beside his own. "Was that nessesary, Edward? I don't like being embrassed in front of the entire political community." He commented on his nephew was both to cover for the stunt that Edward just preformed and was genuine.

| Edward had started to feel the pain set in of falling face first. "Don't show it, you're drunk beyond the point of pain." He thought to himself as his Uncle gave him a rare compliment. Edward didn't respond, however. Not even to his pet name.
He listened to his Uncle's chaste while keeping his drunken stupor intact. After a drawn out pause, he broke the silence "Shut up...murderer." He said under his breath, then gave a small chuckle and waited for the stage to be set for the real show.

| Giordano entered the hotel with his family and more than a handful of Auror escorts. They were all dressed for the occasion, as always, but had run a little late because of a little mishap in France. He sighed as he looked around and scouted the place for any of the other Ministers. Among the sea of finely tailored dress robes and gowns, he found Minister Zolnerowich and Minister Lightle a little to the side with two other men - He recognized one of the to be Mr. Royale.
He walked on over to them, his wife on his arm and his children behind them. The Aurors dispersed to their assigned positions, leaving only four in his and his family's company - two of which were clearing the way for them, while the other two were right behind Annabelle and Dimitri.
As he reached the other two Ministers, he found that Mr. Royale and the other man had already dispersed. He smiled up at his fellow Ministers and greeted them.
"Good day to you, Minister Zolnerowich, Minister Lightle." He acknowledged with a nod. "May I introduce to you my beautiful wife Amelie." He placed a hand over the one his wife had placed on his arm. "And my children Dimitri and Annabelle." He motioned to the two who now stood beside him.

| Amelie kept her mask of being calm on at all times, only offering a few small smiles at the press. She kept her hand on Gio's arm at all times, and moved so that she and Gio were walking side by side and at the same pace. She was not very fond of such elaborate events, but she was rather resigned to the fact that it is part of her life ever since her husband became the Minister.
She was wearing a simple dark red silk gown, accented by her silver purse and silver heels. Diamond earrings and a golden chain on her neck with a pendant of a locket that contained a picture of Gio and her kids, which also doubled as a portkey completed the look.
They stopped in front of the Ministers and she politely smiled at the two and nodded her head slightly when Gio introduced her.
"It's an honor to meet the both of you, Ministers." She said. |

| Dimitri looked around the finely decorated room and sighed. He wasn't one for these sort of outings. He'd prefer being up in the sky on his broom than being here on some party to socialize. He turned to Annabelle, who was on his arm and whispered, "Do you have your broom?"
"I have mine." He whispered one more. "Want to go out for a fly?"
He and his sister had a lot of things in common. They both loved to fly, loved the night time, play Quidditch (though they differ in positions there), and loved to stargaze. They paused in walking when their parents stopped, but upon realizing that introductions were being made, they moved to their father's side.
Dimitri bowed politely and smiled at the two Ministers of Magic.
"It's a pleasure to meet you," he and Annabelle said in unison. |

| Annabelle kept a polite smile on her face at all times as she walked with her family. Though she didn't like these events any more than her brother did, she knew appearances must be kept.
She looked rather stunning, if she didn't say so herself. She was wearing a royal blue strapless gown that almost touched the floor (almost being that it was two inches above the ground). Gold heels, pearl earrings and a pearl necklace that doubled as portkey finished her rather simple look. Her hair was up in an elegant bun with soft waves framing her face.
She raised a brow at her brother when he asked if she had her broom.
"Of course I don't." She responded. "No." She hissed. "We need to be on our best behavior, remember?" She said with a roll of her eyes at her brother's ideas.
She smiled politely as she and Dimitri were introduced.
And she and Dimitri replied, "It's a pleasure to meet you," synchronized. |

| Vinzent quirked an eyebrow at the seemingly drunken youth, but said nothing. He did however smirk a little at the other wizard having called a ruffian ‘miss’. Vaguely, the official wished he had been there to see the incident first-hand. But alas. Perhaps there could be a repeat performance some other time, if happenstance were to graciously allow it.
The wizard filed away Liara’s cautious gaze for later and smiled a slow, full smile that did not reach his eyes. The wizard had a feeling the Minister wasn’t very fond of him, and as her opposition the feeling was mutual. Political functions were interesting things: you had to associate with many people that you didn’t agree with, yet somehow managed at least an attempt to remain civil. “Oh yes... very well prepared,” Vinzent chuckled lightly in spite of the cold tone he had received. “I am indeed looking forward to next year, but if this is an inappropriate topic for small talk...” the wizard shrugged, “...consider it dropped for now.” From the corner of his eye, Vinzent observed the Russian Minister and his nephew.
He paused from saying anything further when the next group of guests made their way in: the French Minister for Magic, Giordano Prideux, and his family and entourage. Vinzent had decidedly arrived without his single bodyguard. Vinzent himself had more experience in dueling and offensive magic in his little finger than the rookie that was assigned to guard him had in their entire body. As the collection of French witches and wizards approached, Vinzent put on his best face and waited until they were within speaking range.
”And good day to you, Minister Prideux,” Vinzent replied automatically, giving a slight nod of a bow that was neither too rigid nor too loose. ”An exquisite pleasure, to make your acquaintances,” he said to the trio of family that accompanied the minister. Vinzent reached for to shake Dimitri’s and Giordano’s hands, and although perhaps a bit old-fashioned took Amelie’s and Annabelle’s hands in turn and placed a brief kiss upon them. ”If I might without offending the Minister, I would like to say that Mrs. and Miss Prideux both look absolutely radiant this evening.” he added with a smile that was genuine this time.
”One of my own daughters should be around here somewhere. I regrettably sent her to speak with a gentleman on my behalf,” Vinzent remarked, once again switching to English. ”I am considering sending her to Beauxbatons for her final year.” Although Charisma had wanted to go to Durmstrang since the age of fourteen, Vinzent had denied her. And now, with a mudblood teaching something as crucial as potions at Hogwarts... No. That would not do. If it were anything but transfiguration or potions, Vinzent might let it slide. Charisma was also already too rebellious and rambunctious, and he was sure she would fit in just fine at Durmstrang, but Vinzent wanted a refined young lady made of his eldest child. What better place, then, in his mind, than Beauxbatons?

| Gage wasn’t so sure he was ready for the international magical cooperation conference. As a member of faculty at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, he was naturally invited to attend. Not to mention that his ‘ex-fiancé’ was going to be there. With all of the threats made on Minister Liara’s life, the wizard worried greatly for her safety. It didn’t matter to him that the place would be crawling with aurors and that her personal bodyguard seemed quite attentive to security. Gage wanted to make certain for himself, with his own eyes, that Liara would be safe. He was an ex-auror, after all. Sometimes old habits were hard to eradicate.
Seeing that all three Ministers were in the foyer, Gage decided to make his way in. He wasn’t anyone special: just a professor. Not to mention those without canes seemed to be in a bigger hurry than he was. The wizard didn’t want to get knocked over and trampled on amidst the sea of people.
He was wearing the standard modern make for dress-robes, although as usual were kept extra shortened due to his leg. Out from beneath peeked a pale blue shirt and brown trousers – his alma mater’s House’s colors – with polished black shoes. The boutonnière on the left side of his dress robes featured a rose bearing alternating blue and white petals, with a ribbon also affixing a very small vial to the decoration. Gage’s hair was stylistically combed and slightly slicked back. The only thing that could be perhaps ‘wrong’ about the wizard’s attire was that the bow tie he wore was slightly crooked. He often referred to this particular outfit as his “hippogriff-suit,” much like the way his father referred to any highly formal wear as a ‘monkey-suit’. It was rigid and to be wholly honest made him itch as though he had donned wool instead of whatever fabric his clothing was made from.
The things he did for to be with his ex-fiancé and show his own support for magical cooperation, even if some of them resented the fact muggle-borns like him were allowed in.
A scowl lined his face at the cluster of press near Liara, and the fact that her direct competition for the England Ministry position was also a bit too close for Gage’s comfort. Zolnerowich could be an entire football field away from Liara and it still would be too close. Gage didn’t trust the wizard as far as he might be able to be thrown - with and without magical assistance.
Hoping the press had dropped the topic of him and Liara after their failed attempt to get married, Gage slowly maneuvered through the crowd toward Liara and company. He was determined to at least extend his greetings, even if he had to “accidentally” crunch a few peoples’ toes with his cane to get there.

| By the time that Calixta finally made her entrance to the conference, most of the important people had wandered off from the main reception room into other areas of the hotel -- which was fine with her. She was only looking for one person, and the less crowded a room was, the easier it would be to spot him.
Her arrival went largely unnoticed thanks to the now-steady flow of wizards and witches issuing forth from the Floo Network, despite her the vibrant hue of her floor-length red dress robes. Gringott's had demanded something with drama, so she accessorised the dramatic backless gown with a long gold chain, finely woven with pink pearls interspersed and hanging down her back, rather than at the front of her dress. A single pink pearl dangled from each ear, and a gold bangle worn above the elbow completed her jewlery. She chose to keep her hair and makeup simpler, wearing her long hair down, the loose curls resting on one shoulder as she turned to survey the room.
As predicted, she didn't see anyone she knew, so she made her way into the next room, following the trail of reporters in order to determine where she ought to be headed.

| Bastian walked into the hotel, wearing Dress robes, that looked simlar to a muggle black tuxedo, with the additon to a hood and flowing cape at the end. Thought the hood was merely for show he figured.
He sighed lingaring in a less crouded part of the ballroom, He and Calixta had hit it off rather well at the patronus the night before.. or perhaps they went too well.. he wasn't sure if they were moving to fast or not.. and with Calixtas job.. he did hope he wasn't causeing the dear lady to much trouble. He was actually looking forward to the evening, things had not gone over so well for his client in the days courts, it was the idiots own damn fault to.
Just thinking about it was making him want to start drinking or pull his hair out in fustration so he distracted himself with thoughts of the night before with Calixta and how the possible meeting might go that evening.
Then he spotted her following a group of reporters into the ball Room, and he walked over from behind her.
"Ya look lovely Lass" he muttered.

| "Bastian!" Calixta exclaimed delightedly, whipping around quickly in a whirl of dress robes. "Wow! You look fantastic!" she told Bastian, her breath catching in her throat as she took his appearance in. "And I thought you couldn't possibly look any better than you did last night," she added, more quietly so as not to be overheard.
"I'm so happy to see you," she said, hugging him as long as propriety would allow and indeed grinning her face off. "I've only just arrived, have you seen Minster Lightle yet? I want to go around and do the whole handshaking business first so I can try to enjoy the rest of the night."

| Bastian chuckled, and kissed the top of her hand "Thank ya Lass" he said as he hugged her back. "I could say the same about ya as well, ya are indeed a sight for sore eyes"
"Aye she is over there humoring the Daily prophet reporters from the look of it" he muttered pointing to the assembly of reporters around the small group of politicans. "Aye let us mingle first" he agreed.
