The Confrontation

Adrian walked up to the door of the English Minister. He knocked on the door. He had heard a little of Liara. Most of it overpirced information from the Reaper. She went to Beauxbatons for the first fours years of schooling and finished it off at Hogwarts in house Slytherin. She took some muggle courses after wizarding school and eventully entered wizard politics. She won the Minister's eat after a vote of no-confidence and rather good run until recently. The recent uggle-born dispute coupled with her muggleborn fiance complicated her career. She called the wedding of course. The Reaper didn't comment on the situation afterwars saying that, "You're the Russian Minisiter, find out yourself. Murderer"

Minister Liara Lightle stood up from her desk, she had just gotten out of court and was still wearing her long back cloak and dark red hat. Sometimes she couldn't believe the things grown wizards and witches fought about. She had rushed back to her office for the schedualed meeting with Adrian Royale..

At the knock on the door she blinked and flicked the door opened with her wand "Minister Royale? I am sorry I just got out of court, please come in" She said switiching to Russian, the language she wasn't the best at but she was adequet.

Adrian gave a slight bow and said "Not to worry. I thank-you for inviting me to this beautiful county of yours." Adrian delivered his greeting in a polite yet reserved tone. "I heard of a recent break in your security, everyone is alright I hope. Something with the Black Reaper, if my intelligence is correct. However, if you pardon my bluntness, I doubt that you called me here for tea and biscuts, what is it that you wish?"

Liara nodded and motioned for him to take a seat, " .. Yes I was paid a visit by the Black Reaper.. No one was harmed" she said finding it earie he spoke of intellgence on her. She vaugely wondered if speaching of Edward to someone who already knew would warrent Edward wanting to Kill her.

"I asked for a meeting of a minister to minister talk if you will?" She started. "I was originally going to meet you in your own country, but certain things have happened as you can see"

"If you don't mind my asking, what is it that the Reaper wanted?" Adrian sat down across the desk from Liara. His left hand was bandaged and he hesitantly placed it on the arm rest.

"Of course, I understand entirely. I'll assume you wish to talk about the issue of muggleborns?" Adrian possed the question in the same tone as before. Hopefully Edward's information would prove true.

Liara took note of the bandaged hand, and thought about the anwser to his question. "He offered his services to me... Nothing more other then no fuss on his way out." she said keeping it as Vauge as possible, she supposes she needed to becareful around the minister, Russia didn't have a shady rep as of late for nothing.

"Why do you ask minister?" She asked pretending to be curious to why he would ask.. she wasn't supposed to know the Black Reaper and Edward Royale were one in the same afterall right?

She nodded, "Things are fairly tight here, I am curious how this issue is in Russia?" she asked, having asked the same to the French minister on there first meeting..

"I was just wondering what Edward was getting up to these days." The statement awas passed along causully and without heisitation.

"A few purebloods squable over the issue now and then but overall things are quite serene and peaceful." The minister replied with a smile. "I'm not mistaken in believeing that your fiance is muggleborn am I?"

Liara blinked at his first statment, and stopped herself from giving the other minister a odd look.. With how insistant the young assasigne was about his identity remainign secret, his uncle spoke of it quite laxly..

"You would know better then I in that area minister.." she simply stated on the fact which she felt was true.. She had not been overly interested in the black Reaper before his meeting. But she got the feeling her interest in him now would be through no freedom of hers.

Liara wasn't sure she believed his casual stament on the Serene and Peacefull comment.. who would have really... well if he were minister of Canada perhaps...

Liara arched an eye brow at his change of topic to Gage.... and she didn't hesitate.

"My Ex-Fiance is muggle born yes.. why do you asked?" she questions sounding curious though feeling she should be cautious.

Interesting, so, Liara knew about Edward's "profession." Adrian was not expecting that. How far did this affiliation go?

"Pardon me for intruding, I was just curious about the rumors that I have heard. How well do you know Edward?" Adrian kept the same tone as always but was supressing a slight surprise of finding out his nephew's newest "ally."

Liara mentally groaned, the Royale's were a pain in her back side, Rumours indeed..

Liara gave out a sigh, "We are a step above strangers Minister. He let slip afew things in our first meeting.. I put 2 and 2 together and he didn't deny it" She said to the Russian infront of her. Wondering how much trouble this slip of information was going to cost her.

What? Edward wouldn'y slip that easily, ah. Edward let her find out. The only question is why?

"Now then, why did Edward come to your office, don't lie to me again. If Edward didn't wish to be discovered, he would not have. So, what did he want?" The tone changed he no longer kept up of his facade of seeing Liara as an equal, he was demanding that she tell him.

"Great" Liara thought "this was trouble.." at his change of tone a cold threat lingered in the air or at least she felt it as one.. it was rather annoying actually.. she hadn't called the Minister here to talk about his nephew..

Since the Russian minister didn't want to have the converstion to remain civil and continue talking over a topic that had nothing really to do with the political scheme of things, Liara stood up her face neutral though she woud call her Aurors in 2 seconds flat if Adrian continued down this line of thought.

"How do you think I would know his true reasons for coming Minister? All he did was offer his service, asked for information and be aloud to leave.. That option seemed better to then starting a man hunt over someone who could be alot more trouble then giving him what he wanted. Have no interest in him minister, he causes trouble .. if he never came to visit me again I'd be very happy" she explained throwing the same tone back at him without loosing her temper.. She would not be talked to like a misbehaived school girl in her own office.

The door closed but no was seen. A voice was heard but not from Adrian. "Sorry to crash the party, but I;m afriad that my invitation was lost in the mail." His magic was removed and Edward Invictus stood behind Adrian a gun held at the Russian Minsiter's head.

"Don't think I'm doing this for you, Liara. Let's just say right now that our needs are the same. Edward was speaking with a quite rage and clam determination."Today, murderer, will not be the day."

Liara looked wide eyed and nearly groaned at her other "Guest" Well this was just turning sour now wasn't it. Now there was 2 of them...

Since the situation was already taking place Liara merely wished for it to end and for the 2 very annoying beings to who concidered them selves better then everyone else to leave.

"Oh do continue, pretend I am not even here" she said folding her arms.

"Yes, Edward. Pull the trigger.Make your father proud." Adrian taunted the younger man knowing full well that he was going to live.

"DId the boy tell you that he-" he began to tell Liara sometthing in rather snide tone that was not directed at Liara but Edward.

Edward didn't respond to the taunts of his uncle's, He did lose his smirk when his father was brought up.

When Adrian was about to finish his sentence Edward grabbed Adrian by the shoulder and pressed him against the desk gun trained on Adrian's head. NOT ANOTHER WORD! Meeting eye-to-eye, Adrian saw the intent to kill in Edward's and showed fear in his.

Edward however, relented. He dropped the gun to his side. "You had a pleasant conversation with Minister Lightle, you then left withut incident, is that understood?" The Russian Mnsiter gave a slight nod and left the room.

"Liara, this was for my benefit, don't think that I'm your guardian angel. I hope the day improves, Miss Lightle. With that he followed his Uncle's example and left.

Liara glared at the departing pair, guardian angle indeed, they were both insane. She didn't understand there relationship and the dark secret both kept. Why had Edward seen fit to let her know who he was she had no idea..

And she certain had no want for a guardian angel.
