The Stature of Socitiety

Hadrian Yaxley sat the bar for of patronus night club, his court day had just ended all they had to do was wait for the ruling, but it was high hopes that their case was won. Bastian had been able to prove she been with him willingly through her firends and younger brother and sister. Not that he really cared about the case... it had been tried to keep him out of Azkaban or some other prison really.. Now that it was done with he felt like celedrating and he was actually with his Girlfirend and mother of his youngest child, Colleen Martin.. She needed some cheering up after the thrashing she got from her parents that day.

"Don't worry about it baby" he said not really making any reason to assure her but to say he tried.. right?

"They want me out of the Family Hadrian.. Nothing to do with me or Terra.. We'll have no where to go" she slurred tossing down another drink and blinking back tears.

"I'll get you a place Baby, no worries.." he said casually leaning in to kiss her.

A cross the bar Bastain Kaiser rolled his eyes at the couple.. he'd finished the Yaxley's case.. well sort of.. still had to wait for the ruling. But he more or less exposed a scandle with a rich boy celebrity. And what an annoying boy he was to, he could think of no one but himself, and he had ruined his Girlfirends life. Dishonorded her and dishonored his wife as well, he would not be surprised if he went to Divorce court next..

He took a drink and ordered a plate of food, it had been a while since he had eaten out like this.. be;d been eating mostly hospital food stil mulling over his father. But not as in shock over it as he was... So he eagerly startedeating and ignored his client and his "Girlfirend"... He wasn in a relationship with an age gap himself... but for merlins sake this poor girl hadn't even finish school yet and had a baby with an already married man who was almost her age...

Not a good start into the adult life.

Melania Harper was in predictably high spirits as she entered Patronus with a small group of friends and family, ready to celebrate her new position as captain of the Ravenclaw quidditch team. Percy and James had stayed behind at the summer house with Innis, but Laeticia and Calixta both came along, as well as Lainey's friend Bex who was staying over at the house. They'd met Lainey's Aunt Julia at The Leaky Cauldron, but her Aunt Selina had refused to go, as usual whenever they involved Julia, a Muggle, in their plans. It was much more pleasant for everyone involved, anyway.

Selling's daughter, Neris had received an invitation as well, but she hadn't responded, so it remained to be seen whether or not she would show up. Calixta hoped not, but as Neris usually spent her weekends partying anyway, she had a feeling they might bump into her. Once they met Aileen at the door, that would complete their little party as they knew it for the moment -- with Lainey the centre of attention, it was expected by everyone that there would be a lot of new faces around, as the young witch was notoriously outgoing.

All decked out in their new outfits, with hair and makeup painstakingly applied and perfected over several hours, the group of women had no trouble making their way up to the front of the line, where they were ushered in quickly. Lainey and Calixta looked around, not seeing Aileen anywhere.

"It's nearly quarter to ten, do you think she's coming?" Lainey asked, shouting over the music.

"Search me," Calixta shrugged, looking about. "Let's order some drinks at the bar and if she's not here by ten, we'll go on up to the VIP."

"Sounds good!" Laeticia chimed in, making her way to the bar. "Julia and I will probably call it a night earlier than you lot, so we'd better get started!" Julia laughed and followed her sister-in-law, with whom she'd always been close.

"We'll have...a round of Flaming Mango Mixers," Julia said to the bartender, counting their number. "Ah...Bex is seventeen, right? Make that five, then. Please." Somehow they managed to find four seats all in a row. Calixta remained standing, on the lookout for Aileen.

"We'll take turns," she said to her mother before she could compain, accepting the fruity drink from the bartender and opening a tab.

Aileen stepped into the night club, the smell of smoke from the patio outside melted away as the smell of sweat and alcohol filled her nostrils. Aileen was glad to see she hadn't underdressed. Some people were dressed in shorts or torn jeans while others had on their best and...sexiest outfits. Aileen raised a judgemental eyebrow at a pair of what seemed like underaged witches running by in little more than their underwear.

Aileen had opted for a simple black dress that was tailored in almost the same way as the red one Calixta had bought earlier that day. She figured black was stylish but wouldn't draw too much attention to herself.

She scanned the room as her eyes adjusted to the dim lights. "Calixta!" She caught sight of the witch standing beside a small group of others, mostly women. Aileen had hoped she would have time to review some of the information collected on the Harper family before she went, but her mother had been late so her shift ended up being a full 6 hours, and by the time she found the Harper residence to drop off the robes, and then got herself ready to go, she'd had no time at all. Unfortunatly she had no idea who anybody else seated with Lainey was. "Guess it's time to charm." She said with a small sigh. This was all so much easier when she could be blunt and insultingly forward with her questions. Problem was, she kind of liked these Harper girls.

Aileen ran a hand through her already tasseled hair and made her way across the floor to Calixta.

Hadrain was fairly distracted with all the goings on in the club, much like a kid he was attracted to the "Fun" areas.. when talking with his girlfirend was getting to be to depressing he gave her money for a hotel after she went to pick up Tara. He would come get her in the morning...

Now it was time to party..

He started to dance with a cute younger girl who was barely wearing anything substancial, but she seemed delighted Hadrain was dancing with her. He was having a grand time watching her giggle with every flirt and her body shake with excietment when he put his hand on her waist when the music slowed..

However then someone caught his eye, a whole bunch of someones really, but one stood out, it was Calixta Harper out with her family. His ex fiance, he hadn't seen her in quite a while, she looked good. not that he would ever admit that..

Smirking he quickly lost interest in the young teen her was dancing with he kissed her goodbye. "It has been fun Sweetie, but I got a firend over there I am gonna catch up with I will catch ya later eh?" he said giving her his adress so she could owl him. The team looked confused with the kiss, then being dumbed for a older woman, then getting a contact infromation..She still looked dumfounded when Hadrian walked away leaving her on the dance floor without a second glance..

Hadrian smirk as he walked up to the pack of women, he recognized Calixta's mother as well as afew other faces but he didn't remember there relation. The one he didn't recognize was cute though.. But he kept his eyes on Calixta though.. he found himself curious about her oddly enough...

"Hey Lix! Fancy meeting you here" he said with a grin.. Though it didn't reach his eyes.

Bastian was still eating at a booth chatting with a older male bartender about issues of the world and didn't really notice the arrivel of his beloved Girlfirend.. or that Hadrain had set his sights on them just yet.

"Aileen, you made it!" Calixta said delighted, grinning and hugging her like they were old friends. In a way, they were. She released Aileen from the hug and turned back towards the bar, grabbing a drink and handing it to her.

"Here! We thought we'd get drinks while we waited, but now that you're here, we can go up!" Laeticia and Julia led the small group out to the back, where the lift was located, and as is all too common in such crowded places, the group got separated as a pack of teenaged girls ran giggling past.

All of the sudden, a voice straight out of Calixta's nightmares reached her ear, and before she'd fully turned and caught sight of him, she recognised the voice of her former fiancé and resident slime ball, Hadrian Yaxley. Though he hadn't actually touched her, she jumped back as though she'd been hit, nearly making Aileen spill her drink. Although the place was packed, and it was hot, her face turned a deathly shade of white, and she clenched her fist unconsciously.

Just his old pet name for her was enough to set her teeth on edge -- her family used to call her Lix, too, once upon a time, but not even her mother could get away with it anymore. He'd ruined a lot of good things like that, almost by simply existing. She did not return his smile, nor his attempt at a friendly greeting.

"I don't know what you're playing at right now, but trust me, I'm not going along with it. Get the fuck out of my face!" Calixta did not usually swear -- an ingrained habit since she tended to spend more time working than anywhere else, and Gringotts frowned upon that, but she was not on company time and this was definitely an exception. She'd managed to avoid Hadrian for nearly a decade, and now out of the blue, here he was, smirking in her face like he owned the joint. It was all she could do to resist scratching the smirk off his stupid face with her fingernails.

Aileen found the hug between her and Calixta to be slightly awkward considering she'd just finished doing domestic stitch work for Calixta all afternoon but as she was released by Ms. Harper Aileen put that aside. Maybe it wasn't because of the work, maybe it's because you're too damn uptight. Not everybody had to have an angle or be drunk to be nice. It was a nice change.

Aileen allowed herself to be led to their table by the chattering women. She nodded politely to the pair of girls she didn't know who were leading the way. Aileen realized with grim facination that this was why she didn't frequent these kid of establishments often, so many people trying to get close to you, platonically or close to your chest for a quick grab. The whole thing was a tad revolting but maybe this one night with this confidant 17 year old and her sister who reminded Aileen of herself, maybe she could enjoy that.

Aileen found herself losing parts of the conversation as she lost herself in her thoughts and came back into it just as the swearing started. Her eye brows shot under her shag of hair. Family drama was captivating.

Hadrain mocked being wounded, he knew well and good she hated him but since she cancelled there wedding all those years ago. he got the childish kick to bug her.. although even he had to admit he likely did more then that. He was looking to make her angry.. for the entertainment and satisfaction he could still push her bottons..

"Now now Lix, is that any way to greet a old firend? tisk tisk" he mocked.

"Whoes your firend?" he asked looking at Ailleen with a wink.

Bastian looked up from across the club, pulled out of his conversations by a tense looking moment with a group. Only while looking over to them did he notice who was there and who was yelling..

"Calixta?" he muttered to himself, quickly excusimg him self from the boothe and walking over to them. He almost swore himself when he saw Hadrain with them. Merlin if the boy was trying to lay his hands on Calixta or any of her firends this was one instanse could not and would not turn a blind eye.

Noting Calixta's infuriated look he feared what Hadrain had done...

"No one of interest to you," Calixta snarled, suddenly pleased that Melania was not present at the moment. The seventeen year old stunner would have caught Hadrian's eye even if he wasn't so clearly looking to piss her off, a job at which he was wildly successful. She knew he was winding her up on purpose, but she didn't care.

"She's actually of age, so I'm guessing she's not your type," she added with a derisive sneer. "Call me that again and I'll hex your jaw shut!" This was accompanied by Calixta drawing her wand out and aiming it directly into Hadrian's face. She caught a glimpse of motion out of the corner of her eye moving towards them, and, thinking it was a bouncer come to break it up, spotted Bastian.

It was funny, she could have sworn he'd told her he was meeting a client today -- although it was true they'd met in Patronus before on a similar occasion. She hoped she wasn't interrupting him. Calixta could only look at him, anger melting into confusion and embarrassment. Reluctantly she slid the wand down, away from Hadrian's face, but still kept it out. She could think of no worse situation than standing in the middle of a crowded dance floor, getting caught arguing with her ex-fiancé by her current boyfriend.

Yeah sorry, I'm a lesbian. Aileen said smoothly, trying to defuse some of the tension between Calixta and this man who obviously was not a welcome addition to the party.

As she tried to laugh off the insident, Aileen casually pulled the string of her purse up so it was closer to her hands. She wasn't about to pull out her wand and get thrown out of a club once again, that happened all too often when she was working. All the same, if this guy didn't leave them alone, it seemed like Calixta was going to blast his face off. It was a good plan to have her own wand near by.

Hadrian smirked even as she drew her wand on him, he sent a interested glanse to Ailleen "Lesbian Eh?" he said looking between Calixta and her. "My now this is a eye opener" he said with a snicker.

Bastian came over to them in alarm and concern when Calixta was holding Hadrain at wand point. He took is wand out to, just in case..

Hadrain smirked when she lowered her wand and he turned around to see Bastain coming there way.

"Bas! come to join the party?!" he asked a little to cheerily.

Bastian glared and held his wand up to his client, "Mr. Yaxley, what ever you are doing to them knock it off right now" he said as the last thing he wanted was for Hadrain to get sued again and his family hire him again.. after this past expirence he didn't care how much he was paid or what they offered him.

He then turned his gazr to Calixta and her firend, concern in them for what Hadrain might have done.

"Ya alright Darlin?" he asked. "I am so sorry for what ever he has done"

Hadrian looked perplexed for a moment, "Whoes side are you on Bas?"

Calixta sincerely looked like she was about to be sick. "Bas"? "Mr. Yaxley"? They clearly knew each other, which was the most horrifying outcome possible. For a moment she'd had the terrible fear that they were actually mates, but when Bastian called Hadrian by his last name, she realised it was even worse than that. Theirs appeared to be a business relationship....and Bastian was a lawyer....and Hadrian had a habit for scamming on underage girls, just like he'd done with her and even Neris...

Without realising, she'd backed away from Bastian, pale and wide-eyed.

"No..." she said, barely a whisper, shaking her head slowly.

"Tell me it's not true....tell me it's not what it looks like," she begged, essentially pleading for her one comfort in this world not to be ripped away, again, and at the hands of Hadrian Yaxley.

Aileen's ears prickled as they did when she listened so intently to a conversation. Aileen didn't even need to get a Harper family member drunk, the drama seemed to attach itself to Calixta. Aileen tactfully took a half a step back so she was just out of Calixta's periphrial vision. She found that when a potential story wasn't aware they were being scrutinized by an outsider, they were much more open. Aileen was willing one of the men, or Calixta to say just WHAT it in fact looked like.

Aileen was temporarily distracted by a strange tickle on her back. She swiped her hand across her back, thinking it was just an itch but came into contact with a sweaty, groping hand. Her foot responded with a quick, unmerciful stamp of her heeled shoe onto the foot of the owner of the hand.

"Ow!" He yelled at Aileen, confirming she'd reached her target. She turned around just for a moment to discover a more than obese man with a tight sweater and a mop of blond hair plastered to his forhead.

"Oh hey, sorry about that. I'm a lesbian, men's body parts freak me out." She replied calmly. Why not keep the lie going for the night. The old lesbian lie never failed and really, she couldn't give a toad's wart what people she didn't know thought of her.

"Look I feel bad, but you know, I have a friend over there who could really use some of your attention." She pointed to where Lainey sat. She felt a twang of guilt on setting this sweaty man on Lainey, but she didn't want Calixta to be destracted, or to reign in the anger that seemed about to explode.

Bastian looked very confused by Calixta's reaction, had he done something wrong? "What do you mean Lass?" he asked worry entering his voice, as he tried to move closer to her.

Hadrian on the other hand, seemed to put two and two together and started laughing finding the situation very amusing. So his lawyer was Cali's current boyfirend, who like had no idea he was helping his girlfirends ex fiance.. "Merlin.. " he said amists his laughs. "Well you know what they say about it being a small world" he said with a smirk after seeing Calixta pale...

Bastian looked over Hadrian, "What in merlin's name?..." he muttered. "What are you laughing about?" he asked with a snap. Hadrain's anttic;s annoying him as they usually did.

Hadrian looked at Calixta for a moment... seeming not taking any mercy on her.. "I think I will let Lix explain" he said with a snicker.

Calixta shied away from Bastian again and closed her eyes against Hadrian's continued provocation. It was honestly all she could do not to spit in his face; he was enjoying himself far too much for her happiness. She decided to switch to German to prevent Hasrian from getting any more amusement from her words, but it was difficult to focus through the shock, hurt, and anger she was dealing with at the moment.

"Tell me that you're not working for my ex-fiancé. Tell me that he didn't knock up another teenager, and that you're not working to keep his guilty arse out of Azkaban where it belongs! And you," she added, jabbing her wand at Hadrian's chest, "you have no right to call me that anymore, after what you did!"

He'd called her bluff about her hexing him, and she stepped up to the challenge; this time she did send a Silencing Charm his way, with an angry smirk.

Bastain eyes wided a bit at Calixta's explination.. and thoughts stared to flood his mind. Hadrain was her Ex fiance? The one that hurt her so much in her past? and he was his client.. Bastian looked a cross between a dear caught in headlights, and the "Oh Shit" panicked look on his face. He had to fix this.. surely she had to know he hadn't known who Hadrain was.. if he had he would not have taken the case as a favor and forced them to get case to someone else.

"Lass Please I.. I didn't know" he said not sure what to say.. all she begged for him to tell her was not ture.. and the truth was not what she wanted to hear. It pulled at him to see her back away from him like that, it was a sight that disturred him grestly.

Hadrian almost pouted when Calixta started talking in German, a language he of course didn't know. And further all out whinned or would have whinned if the silenceing charm hadn't taken effect. He couldn't stand the silencing charm and Calixta knew it, he drew his own wand to try and get her to undo it only to have his wand physically ripped from his hand by Bastain, who had a odd look on his face. Hadrain wasn't sure if he was blazing mad, or extremely embarressed.

"Go away.." Bastain said simply to Hadrain his voice dangerously low... if this pig of a man had any sence he would leave.

Hadrian silently protested to Bas.. feeling horribly silly with no voice/

Calixta just stared helplessly at Bastian, tears forming in her eyes quite against her will. She wasn't sure whether it was because she was angry or because she was sad, but it seemed quite out of her power to control them, in any case.

"You didn't know what? Who he was, or that it's wrong to defend someone you know is guilty of ruining a young girl's life?" Her voice broke as she thought about how it'd felt when she was the one being personally victimised by Hadrian. If she'd know Bastian then, she'd have been confident that he'd be one of the good guys, standing up for her. Or at least she would have said so before tonight. That was the worst, most confusing part -- Bastian was a very good man, at least in his personal life. She just couldn't understand how there could be such a drastic disconnect in his professional life.

"I don't understand how you could even justify it to yourself! Regardless of who he is or is not to me -- you had a daughter, Bastian. How on earth do you sleep at night knowing you're working to make sure that someone's daughter doesn't get the justice she is owed? I can't understand you," she said, swallowing hard, but her throat seemed to be going dry.

"I don't understand..." The tears that had been threatening finally spilled over to her cheeks, and were hastily wiped away -- she didn't want to give Hadrian the satisfaction.

BIC: "Neither do I." Aileen said, finally taking a step back up to join Calixta. She had tried to follow the conversation but her German language skills were extremely rusty, French had been her language of choice to study. "I'm sorry, and it's probably none of my business.." She said in a diplomatic tone.

"None of my businesses but Calixta is my contact out here tonight and I don't want to see her get hurt or get so upset. I obviously don't speak German but unless you would like to take this outside or somewhere private, I suggest one or both of you leave."

It would be easier to ask Calixta what just happened when they were on their own. Aileen half expected Calixta to tell her to leave them, but she needed to try something, if they stayed Aileen would miss the entire German conversation anyway.

Neris arrived at the club around 10:30, relatively early for her, but her date had offered to pick her up then and she figured it gave him plenty of time to find somebody else who was willing to spend the real night with her.

She walked in, her arm linked with her date Addox Whitley, her pink sequenced dress sparkled off the strobe lights of the club. "Get me a drink babe." She said softley to Addox as she spotted her cousins and, strangely enough, Yaxley with them.

She paraded herself through the crowds until she reached Lainey. "LAINEY!" She said in mock cheer. "Look at you! Definitely the right stature for a quidditch player!" She said bending down and giving her young cousin a quick kiss on each cheek.

"And Lixi." She said, her wolf teeth flashing in the dim. "Looking quaint as always." She noted as she surveyed Calixta's simple dress. "Muwa, Muwa." She said outloud as she gave Calixta two kisses as well.

"And Hadrian!" She held out her hand for Hadrian to kiss. "Quite the enchanting reunion."


Neris's Dress

Bastian looked at Calixta, her words making his heart beat rapidly and slide down to his stomach. How could this get any worse? Stupidly he had never talked to Calixta about the... political infuence in his work.. Any family in wizenagomot could hire him, and the Yaxley family called in a favor from him. He had to defend there youngest son from the accusation of taking advanage of a young girl... He personally hated the case, Hadrain was a lazy rich boy.. who still thought he was a teenager. He really felt sorry for his kids and wife really, Hadrain didn't want to be a real husband or father either..

But if he let Hadrain get convicted.. What would happen to his wife and chilren.. all very young to.. his wife.. merlin not older then Calixta herself..

But all the things Calixta said cut through him.. particularly the comment about his Daughter, he winced though his eyes never left her.. if he had only known Hadrian Yaxley was the man that hurt her so he'd have never taken the case. He'd have dropped it, and help hadrains Wife in anyway he could...

"Darlin.." regret flashing in his eyes. "His family hired me..." he said with a sigh thinking his explinations sounded really lame. He mentally cramed his head, he needed to say something..


He swallowed hard at her tears.. he wanted to wip them away.. but this time she was mad and sad becouse of that he had done, and he hated it. What to do? what could he say..? Her points were good ones.. ones he hadn't thought of in a while and really should have.

"Calixta Please? I am so sorry.. Ya know me Lass.. but me job lead me to places, I detest to go. I never wanted to hurt you Lass.." he managed, he needed to fix this.. if there was anyway he could, he had to. He cou;dn't loose her now not after everything alread cause of his job.. and because so ill fatedly he had to defend Hadrian a 'man' who hurt her deeply.. which was not happening anymore. He really should just curse Hadrain into oblivion right now, but he want to make sure Calixta didn't dump him first.

He then noticed Ailleen and recognised her from the Bar.. "Great" he thought miserably. "A reporter..." he didn't say anything to her. He could swear if this spat was in the papers...

Hadrian watched with curiousity at the upset couple.. Well that didn't take long, he concidered it sweet revenge on Lix.. for what she had done.. made him look like a fool.

The he smiled like a fool when Neris came in to the bar and of course he kissed her hand, The silencing charm still on him or not. He smirked to her abrupt treatment of Lix. If the girl didn't explode with all this right now.. he would be surprised..

Bastain had yet to look away from Calixta, almost scared to thinking his eyes left her she would leave him. He ignored Neris mostly, but really wanted to talk more there "Calixta? come with me else where? I will do anything ya wish to fix this?"" he said with time offering his hand to her.. She could accept it if she wished.. if not.. well he would cross that bridge if they came to it.

Between how strangely Aileen was acting, Neris's most unwelcome arrival, and Hadrian leering gleefully at the pair of them, Calixta had to agree with Bastian's desire to go elsewhere, even though she was upset. If there were any two people in the world she could not bear to give any kind of satisfaction to, it would be Neris and Hadrian, and right now they were both looking far too pleased for her liking.

She pulled herself away from Neris, none too gently while not exactly shoving her, either. "That word doesn't mean what you seem to think it means," she muttered, spotting Lainey charging towards them through the crowd with a very determined look on her face. To Calixta's surprise, Lainey ignored her sister entirely and headed straight for Aileen, which was fine to her. Now she could ditch Hadrian and Neris without feeling guilty for leaving Aileen alone.

"Fine, but only because I'd rather die than give these two anything to gossip over," Calixta told Bastian reluctantly, turning and heading back towards the entrance, only glancing back to make sure he was following her once.

Meanwhile, Lainey had stomped right up to Aileen and confronted her, nostrils flaring and arms punctuating her words with angry gestures.

"What on Earth was that for, eh? You better have a damn good explanation for sicking that creep on me! What is that, your idea of a joke?"

Aileen winced as Lainey spat her angry words directly at her. Damnit. She thought to herself. That guy was supposed to buy her evesdropping time, not pull her away earlier. Luckly Aileen had a knack for thinking on her feet.

"OIE!" Aillen called back to their pudgy friend who was now looking a triffle annoyed. "I didn't mean her, I meant the girl behind her. That one sitting by the bar." Aillen made a wide gesture with her hand towards a third unfortunate girl who would now be fighting her way out of the sweaty hands of their creep. The man trotted off obediantly.

"I'm SO sorry Lainey." Aileen said, actually feeling a tad bad for setting him on the girl. It was her party after all. "I was trying to get him away from me and I gestured behind me. I forgot you were back there. I was just trying to get him off me and pawn him off on a random." Aileen realized that Lainey may still see her move as dispicable. But she hoped the teen would find her a tad less dispicable if she believed Aileen hadn't been trying to make HER the random.

Aileen realized that she really was getting nowhere with this conversation. They spoke it almost all in German and if she guessed correctly, this was personal drivle. Horrible for Calixta but something Aileen would refuse to post in the Prophet. She loathed interest colums, not matter how intense this arguement got, it had no place in her world events or politics pages. "Look I'm just going to leave you be for a while Calixta. Grab me when you want to go." She said giving the woman a sympathetic half grin before turning back to Lainey. "Can I sit with you guys?"

Neris had opened her mouth to say something back to Calixta, but her cousin was obviously not in a mood to listen so Neris turned back to her younger cousin. "Lay!" She returned to Lainey and all but stood in front of Aileen. "What good was inviting me to this party if you're not going to buy me a drink?!" She asked with her scandalized voice on.

Lainey didn't really have much opportunity to do more than scowl at Aileen before her cousin demanded her attention. While she certainly didn't have the personal vendetta against Neris that Calixta, she wasn't exactly fond of her obnoxious relation, either.

"We're celebrating my promotion to captain, you're supposed to buy me a drink!"[/color] she replied in as joking a tone as she could manage. Really it was quite typical of Neris, who she knew full well had only run into them by accident, to expect them to finance her night. It was a continuation of the fights their mothers still had every now and then, over the inheritance. Though the Greengrass fortune had been split evenly between the two daughters, Neris' mother believed that Laeticia should have forfeited her half upon marrying a Muggleborn wizard.

"Why don't you just have Hadrian buy you one?" she suggested, eager to be rid of her. "We're not staying down here, Mum and Julia have got us a private room upstairs," she added, quick to mention her fully Muggle aunt in order to entice Neris to stay far away.

Hadrian smile at Neris, true they had history.. but didn't really matter, the both shared the same feeling on Lix. Plus the fact Neris was a beauty certainly softened him up.

He would have took her to get a drink.. only problem he had was the silencing charm Cali had put on him. So he was unsually quiet...

Which was likely a good thing for Lainey, she was alot prettier since last he had seen her...

"Perhaps Hadrian would provide a tad more sophistocated company." Neris looked expectantly at Hadrian who had so far remaind so quiet. He was usually the first one to offer a drink, or a dance or a bed to stay the night.

"Aren't you going to ask me what I want?" She asked Hadrian, deciding maybe he was too drunk and needed a little prompting. Neris waited several moments for Hadrian to speak. "It's a little rude to just gape at me like some kind of fish." She said, mildly offended that Hadrian was playing this game at her.

"Let's not tell her what happened." Aileen said quietly to Lainey. She knew who Neris was and was completely happy to see the outspoken, pure blood bully leave with the other pure blood bully.

"I wouldn't dream of it," Lainey replied, backtracking while keeping her eyes on Hadrian and Neris. Confident that they seemed to notice nothing, she finally turned and made as quick an exit as possible in such close confines, not bothering to wait for Aileen. She was still slightly annoyed, not quite buying her excuse nor condoning it regardless, and so had taken an "every woman for herself" approach. Luckily for Aileen, there was a slight wait for the lift, and so Lainey got in line, looking around to see if Aileen had made it.
