Personality:
She likes to be called Cole or Mars or anything really other than the entirety of her first name, Columba, of which she isn’t very fond of. She had no idea what her parents were thinking when they named her. But that has little or nothing to do with her personality.

She’s an old soul, Columba is. She’s quite mature for her age and has a deep understanding of the human condition. This makes it difficult to sometimes relate to people her age. But it doesn’t bother her and she is very easy going so she was never lacking in friends. She is passionate in all that she does but she regards knowledge over all else. She is ambitious and strives to be the best in every endeavor. She doesn’t trust anything without reason and hardly believes anything with just plain old faith.

After waking up from a two year nightmare, Calliope wanted nothing to do with magic. Once her kidnapper, Ajax, was safety behind Azkaban bars, she left the Wizarding World behind – opting instead to live quietly in the Muggle World. Raised as a Pureblood Princess, she had more than her fair share of trouble adjusting to the Muggle way of life. She strengthen her resolve though, and sure enough, the once spoiled socialite withc was living an average Muggle life – and happily too. She grew to appreciate the Muggle way and at long last she could forget her magical past. She was a skilled writer, thankfully she didn’t have to relearn how to write (though she had to have an editor who was magic just in case something slipped). She fell in love with a Muggle, Jonathan Mars the publisher of her novels and they get married, having a daughter, Columba. They lived a happy life, until Columba started showing signs of magic. Her mother was horrified. She thought she had left magic behind. She had foolishly convinced herself that Columba wouldn’t, just become a squib. Calliope failed to mention her magical past to her husband and daughter – and she wanted it that way. But sure enough, as she got older it was no denying it. Columba was magical.

At the age of 11, Columba received her Hogwarts letter. Jonathan was thrilled. Of course he had no idea of Calliope’s past and when Columba had received her Hogwarts letter, Jonathan could not understand why Calliope wouldn’t let her daughter go. Calliope was adamant but eventually they let their daughter go.

At Hogwarts she found herself in the Ravenclaw house though the Sorting Hat did take an awful long time deciding. She was astounded in the world of magic and wondered why her mother had left. Though she was a Halfblood, and had roots to a presitigious magical family to boot, her mother had kept the Wizarding World a secret. So she was little more equipped to the World ahead of her than the Muggle-borns. However, she was thrilled. She was eager to try everything she could get her hands on. It was an entirely new world to discover and she wanted to be in the mist of it. She had a most difficult time in her second year picking which classes she would take in third. She found passion in flying and found herself to be quite skilled at the activity – enough to make the Ravenclaw team on her second year – even though she knew virtually nothing about the sport.

Quidditch aside, she takes her studies seriously.
