He loves the kid, and the fact Adam reminds him of Cole would actually be a good thing for both Adam and Corvus: it'd get Jericho to be a good albeit slightly strict dad to Adam, and reinforce his loyalty to Corvus in his thinking that the Sangreal might've killed Cole... assuming that's how Lilith spins it..
