[I know what the location says, but this actually takes place in the Great Hall]
Alastair glanced around the Great Hall. Everything was perfectly set up and altered to accommodate the entire school as well as a few selected guests. Yes. He truly believed some of his students would greatly enjoy this. Several circular stages had been erected, chairs collected around them. In each chair was a pad and an inexpensive Quick Quotes Quill. Refreshments of the standard fare, and a few ethnic specialties, could be found in each of the Great Hall's corners.
Wherever there wasn't a chair, platform, or refreshment table, there were even more tables. Their surfaces did not contain food, but weapons of all kinds from all over the world. These tables were manned by house-elves, and some of said tables plainly announced sale of purchase-able items. The place was nearly a one-room dueling museum.
True to form, Alastair sat down upon one of the platforms to meditate. He took a few deep breaths, and waited for a meditative state to claim his mind. The old wizard was the host of this event. He hoped his students received his notice which detailed this event taking place instead of their usual class. Also, with any luck, his old friends and colleagues would enjoy putting on a good show for all in attendance. No one had yet arrived, and his friends were at peace in their own encampments or waiting within the antechamber.
Soon, it would begin.
