Personality: Regina Yaxley is not the most outgoing person in the crowd, but neither is she the wallflower. Her pureblood roots make her demeanor towards strangers decidedly cold until she learns the person’s name. How she learns your name varies, but she typically will ask someone else if they know the “new kid” before approaching the individual herself. On the simplest level Regina will give as good as she gets in her interactions with strangers and new acquaintances. If she deems the person worthy enough for a friendship, she will offer a tentative handshake; refusing the handshake is a grave insult to her.

It is no secret that Regina has her biases, and is often unable to see beyond them. As a result she is highly selective of whom she openly deems a friend. Her motives in a friendship can be fickle: if it suits her purposes she has no qualms with arranging for a friend to take the fall for some misdeed of hers, without even so much as forewarning the friend beforehand. There are very few connections that Regina feels fully able to trust with anything, but these special individuals have her utmost loyalty. If that trust is ever betrayed, however, there is little hope of ever being able to earn it back.

Regina doesn’t automatically make it known that she doesn’t like a person or considers them an enemy. On the contrary, she is subtle and prefers to attack the jugular of a person’s reputation from within. Her temper is not to be trifled with. Worse yet is her demeanor when betrayed: she will stop at nothing to achieve revenge. However, don’t expect her to duel... she values appearance far too much to have her appearance “ruined” by anything from a run in her socks or a small tear in her robes to a potential scar on her face. Only if she feels that the revenge is truly worth it will she go out there and duel the offender herself.

Deep down, Regina is an insecure girl who knows better than to come across as weak or even remotely inferior. She wants to feel special and secretly tries to find more justification for her status other than the fact that she is a pureblood. Although she does carry the traditional bias per her upbringing, Regina can and will make exceptions. She is much more tolerant toward halfbloods than the rest of her family, preferring to save the venom for muggleborns deserving of her ire.




Your Story Please? Regina Yaxley is the youngest child and third girl in her family. Her father had hoped for more sons, and spared Regina nothing in telling her so. Regardless of how well she did in any arena, Isador Yaxley would always claim that she would’ve done better if she was a son. For Regina, the only benefit to being the youngest child was that she had little to no responsibilities. Often being left in the care of house-elves did little to contradict that. Sometimes she was left in the care of her older sisters. Until Regina hit a certain age, these other girls were cruel to her. In her view it was Cordelia’s fault that Regina fell off her broom and broke her arm. Since that accident, at the age of six, Regina has lost all interest in flying and only airily follows Quidditch. Her favorite team is usually whichever one is winning at the time, but she does have a soft spot for the Montrose Magpies… particularly their most recent seeker.

Magical tutoring began the same day she displayed it, with little to no congratulatory fanfare. Harley was much too busy teaching Eric, and so he put in a request to his brother, Fenris, to teach the girl. Uncle Fenris was a very strict teacher, but in exchange for soaking in everything he taught her, the wizard spoiled his niece with trinkets that made her look good and solidified her status. While the status bit was nice, Regina liked the fact that he didn’t seem to care about her gender and cared enough to occasionally spoil her even more. It didn’t even matter (for the most part) that her siblings were spoiled in much the same manner.

Regina was promptly sorted into Slytherin at her Sorting. She had the ambition, the love of power or the feeling thereof, as well as being quick to wheedle herself out of trouble by pinning the blame on someone else with a questionable alibi. The fact she went into school knowing considerably more than some of her peers made her feel confident and superior. She keeps her head up whenever that ego is taken down a peg or two, usually with the support of her most trusted friends. Her interest in boys began when Lorraine acquired her first boyfriend. Almost instantly Regina picked up a beau of her own – a 5th year Ravenclaw boy. He was stolen from her not long after the relationship started getting “serious” for Regina’s age group. Mysteriously, said boy found himself in the hospital wing a month later with inexplicable maladies. Regina has had several boyfriends since then, though is currently single and available.
