Wandless magic,
In an emergency wandless magic was a god send, should a witch or wizard find him self without a wand. When students started coming in and seat them selve she began the class.
"Today will be different from last class, no wands today.... and don't grown it isn't book work either"
With a gesture with her hand words appeared in the air, "Wandess magic"
"It is sometimes believed by some witches and wizards that a wand is essentail to using magic. That is not true, your magic is inside you not your wand. A wand merely focuses your magic for you allowing you to control is easier.The proof for this is obvious. I am sure many of you remember preforming accidental magic when you were little? The only difference between that and what I am teaching you here is intent, and of course control. It is that control that makes wandless magic so difficult and it takes a lot of practice, effort and energy. Wizards have been known to collapes due to the stress of the over use of wandless magic, which is casued be magical exuastion. But once mastered wandless magic is incredibly handy in a duel or any situation where you may find your self without a wand."
With a wave of her hand feather's appeared on the students desks.
"You may remember being taught the Wingardium Leviosa spell on these feather's in your first year. I am asking you to do the samething only wandlessly. If you manage to levitate it before class ends you are free to go. Now don't forget the homework, Good luck everyone"
With another wave of her hand questions apeared in the air.
1) True or false. It is impossible to preform magic without a wand.
2)How does a wand help in the use of magic?
3)What is the risk of over useing wandless magic?
4)What is the benifit to learning wandless magic?
5)What is requiered to preform wandless magic?
Or you may simply post what spells potions or questions you want students to study in the Class and they will post how there Character tries out the spell, potion or question. If they so wish they may involve others and make it a Role play.. You will Post.. - Spoiler:
Lesson One:
-Define the Sleeping Draft Potion.
-Brew the Potion
You may give more or less it is up to you, you may also give different lessons for different years, as it would not make sense to have a 7 year learning a 1 year spell.. or even a combination of the two is even better if you want. Add your professor being there and put the class assignment at the end. The member playing the student can decide how there student will brew the potion or spell.. they could get it wrong and blow something up.. or get it all right it is entirely up to them. The Reason for this way of "teaching" is the site is focused more on the world and characters and not how a school or class functions. However if you like writing out lesson plans and Rping it fully out you may still do that, it is just another option. This method is to keep Student members busy and professors from constantly writing lengthy lesson plans. Have Fun | |
