-How I act-
Personality: Charisma is an outgoing young woman; a go-getter with streaks of recklessness and rebellion. She doesn’t tolerate bullying of any sort and will step in to make a difference regardless of the probable outcome. The only person allowed to push her friends and loved ones around is her. This attitude has proven to get Charisma into trouble, but she shrugs off the detentions and most other punishments hurled her way. Nothing any school can throw at her could be worse than her father’s measures of discipline...
Charisma is loyal to her friends, and generous to anyone in need that she comes across. She is tentatively friendly with most people, considering House stereotypes to be a tacky but necessary practice until she can get a sense of the person in question. Her intuition is usually correct... but it isn’t flawless, either. One of her biggest flaws is that even her well-intentioned plans aren’t always thought through from a logical, objective, and sometimes practical lens.
-History-
Your Story Please? Charisma was born from the arranged union of Vinzent and Diana Zolnerowich. Her earliest memories of their family life begin when she was five: her father was an attentive and doting wizard and her mother a bit less permissive but not at all negligent with her affection. And then things changed. Her father began to spend more time at work, leaving her and Diana alone at night. What had been commonplace outings became rare treats, and her father’s level of discipline rose to making the simplest father-daughter errand a nightmare in the event that Charisma was anything less than Daddy’s perfectly and absolutely well-behaved little girl.
At the tender age of seven, Charisma witnessed the horror of her parents’ divorce. It was a bitter and violent one, with much venom between the two. Diana promised to get sole custody of her, which scared Charisma even more when she learned that that basically meant she would never see her father again. Even worse was when the reality hit: that her father won the sole custody case, and thus Charisma would rarely, if ever, see her biological mother again if Vinzent had any say in the matter.
The three years between then and when her father found a new girlfriend seemed like a blink of an eye, and Charisma resented the appearance of this new woman. Veronica took most of her father’s preciously limited time, and there was something else Charisma didn’t like about Veronica but she couldn’t put it into words. Sure enough, Vinzent was soon breaking promises to Charisma in order to be with Veronica, leaving the little girl in the hands of Berlynn Stabler. Although initially resentful towards the substitute, the trip to Diagon Alley was much for fun with the witch than with her own father. It didn’t take long for Charisma to grow to like Berlynn, and even went so far as to ask her father for Berlynn to take her on subsequent outings from then on.
Three days before Christmas, during a holiday home, Berlynn was asked to take Charisma to do some Christmas shopping. Halfway through the errand they received a quickly-scrawled owl about Charisma’s stepmother going into labor, and to meet her parents at the hospital. It was then that her sister, Symphony Rose, was born. Charisma was initially suspicious of the new baby. When she saw the return of the version of her father that she sorely missed, being attentive to both her and the new baby, it almost seemed like everything was back to normal again. If only it weren’t for that Veronica woman… she constantly complained in the months after the baby was born – about everything, in Charisma’s view. Then, once the novelty of fatherhood wore off once again, Vinzent was back working long hours at the Ministry. At one point, Charisma sincerely wished that Veronica would “just go away and never come back”.
Charisma eventually got her wish, during an alleged break-in to her family’s manor. Veronica was once again pregnant, which had meant that her father might have returned again to his attentive, gentle self. Veronica’s body was rushed to the hospital since the baby was still alive. The newborn – a boy, whom Vinzent named Jonathan Nikita – was rescued, and to Charisma’s great surprise, her father didn’t seem to like this baby nearly as much. It pained Charisma to see how strict her father was with Jonathan, and her suggestions and remarks in request for leniency toward the boy often went unheard.
The years went on, and Charisma took an interest in breeding and keeping snakes for pets. Vinzent allowed this, and even slightly took up the hobby with her. The only difference was that he kept and bred poisonous snakes, whereas he wouldn’t let Charisma get within ten feet of any venomous creature. Her favorite snake (although she loves them all) is a ball python named Tanith, whom she consistently brings with her to Hogwarts.
Charisma is now in her seventh and final year at Hogwarts. She’s undecided about what she wants to do with herself, though she is tempted to become a part of the Muggle Liaison Office at the Ministry just to anger her father.
